The story begins on an airplane flying from Jamaica — a young girl aged 8, leaving everything she has ever known. She came to England and never wanted to go to school and learn the golden rule. Sasha quickly got wrapped up and pulled in to street life and used for selling drugs, at a young age by various older criminals in the area. By 11 she was taken into foster care. Whilst in care, she got pregnant with her first child at 16.

Sasha Johnson's white British foster mother refused to give up on her. She encouraged Sasha to go to university in Oxford, where she learned about the Black Panthers and racial inequality. Sasha's foster mother had a young son, named Adam, aged 14, who became Sasha's little foster brother. A quiet, thoughtful boy who wanted to be a scientist since he was a little child.

In a vibrant, imaginative science laboratory nestled in the city, a diverse group of students arrives for an inspiring science enthusiasts' workshop. Led by the enthusiastic Dr. Lucy Chains, they are introduced to the concept of becoming scientists. Each student brings unique ideas; the workshop encourages them to design and test creative experiments.

Five years later, Adam now 19 years old, finally has a breakthrough with his scientific cell prevention project. After his foster sister was shot in the head at a house party in Peckham, and those who inflicted the grievous injuries remained free and unpunished for over four years, Adam channelled his grief and rage into something the world had never seen.

Adam investigates how high-level resistant MRSA arises, aiming to gain new insights into the mechanisms that underpin bacterial life and antibiotic resistance.

Cells are the fundamental units of life. They are tiny, complex structures containing all the necessary components to perform the functions required for life. Adam's Foster Cells remove any physical evidence of a human wanting to commit a crime — or else they could lose their life. If any violent thought enters the host's mind, without warning, they are instantly gone. Dead on the spot.

Adam's new cells are making the world a better place, quickly helping police reduce gang violence and crime across the globe. But is Adam's life now at risk? As the other students start asking too many questions, the rest of humanity is left wondering: who created these deadly cells that hospitals are inserting into patients' bodies — without their consent or acknowledgement?

Criminal minded young and old people who suddenly feel they are the baddest thing on road, find themselves on the run from a corrupt police force born from the birth of Foster Cell, known as the Cell Injectors. The Cell Injectors are well known for travelling around the darkest places looking to put a deadly Capsule Cell into your mouth, forcing you to swallow it on the spot.

The closing scenes show gang culture falling down fast, with violence and crime becoming a thing of the past. Foster Cell is a powerful and true depiction of how science — born from personal tragedy — can fundamentally alter the course of human history.
